About

The Adva Network represents the fusion of alumni from the Teva Learning Center and Adamah: The Jewish Environmental Fellowship. These two experiential training programs form the epicenter of a dynamic community of young socially and environmentally progressive Jews.

Adva is the Hebrew word for ripple. A combination of ADamah + TeVA, the Adva network exists to help radiate far and wide the ripples of Jewish environmental stewardship and responsibility, and the joys of community and learning.

We provide alumni of the Teva Learning Center and Adamah Fellowship with support, direction and increased ability to find their niche as leaders in the American Jewish community. This will infuse the American Jewish community with leaders dedicated to the creation and perpetuation of an eco-conscious community. As a consequence, the American Jewish community will be propelled forward as pioneers in the national eco-conscious movement, based on its incorporation of inspired, embodied Judaism and grassroots energy.

The Adamah Fellowship is a three-month residential leadership training program for Jewish young adults in their 20s that teaches the vital connection between Judaism and environmental stewardship. Adamah fellows engage in a hands-on curriculum that integrates organic farming, sustainable living skills, Jewish learning, community building, contemplative spiritual practice, and leadership development. Adamah cultivates an inspired community of young Jews and gives them the spiritual, ecological, and interpersonal tools to become the next generation of Jewish leaders.

The Teva Learning Center is a non-denominational educational service dedicated to innovative Jewish education taught through the lens of the natural world. Teva’s educators are young adults from a wide spectrum of Jewish and/or environmental backgrounds who come to work with Jewish day schools, congregational schools, community centers, synagogues, youth groups, and camps.
