Building a Community of Transformative

Jewish Environmental Leaders

_____________________________________________________

The Adva Network

The Adva Network's mission is to build a community of transformative Jewish environmental leaders from the alumni of Adamah: The Jewish Environmental Fellowship and The Teva Learning Center. Adva provides a bridge between alumni and the larger Jewish world by honing alumni's skills and assisting them as they find their niche within Jewish institutions.

The Adva Network meets two complimentary needs in the Jewish community: to reinvigorate Jewish institutions, and to speak to the concerns of young Jews who are passionate about sustainability. The larger Jewish community will in turn be reinvigorated by the arrival of new young leaders who are fresh with talent, passion and vision.

The Teva Learning Center and the Adamah Fellowship form the epicenter of a dynamic community of young socially and environmentally progressive Jews.

ADAMAH
Adamah is a three-month residential leadership training program for Jewish young adults in their 20s that teaches the vital connection between Judaism and environmental stewardship. Adamah fellows engage in a hands-on curriculum that integrates organic farming, sustainable living skills, Jewish learning, community building, contemplative spiritual practice, and leadership development. Adamah cultivates an inspired community of young Jews and gives them the spiritual, ecological, and interpersonal tools to become the next generation of Jewish leaders.

TEVA
The Teva Learning Center is a non-denominational educational service dedicated to innovative Jewish education taught through the lens of the natural world. Teva's educators are young adults from a wide spectrum of Jewish and/or environmental backgrounds who come to work with Jewish day schools, congregational schools, community centers, synagogues, youth groups, and camps.
